What is an officer?
The Chapter Officer team makes the plan for the upcoming year and direct the local organization. They are also the leaders within the agricultural curriculum. The officer team is the face of our program and make sure all duties are met.
How to become one?
The East Buchanan FFA Officer team is selected of individuals who go through a four step process.
1) Application to be turned into the chapter advisor (67 points)
2) 25 question knowledge test over FFA (33 points)
3) An interview by the senior officers (100 points)
4) Voted by members at the monthly chapter meeting (100 points)
If a member turns in an application late, a 10 point deduction will be enforced. Chapter President will be somebody who has served on the officer team at some point in their high school careers. If nobody from previous teams want to be President, anybody can be President. The members with the most combined points will be on the officer team.
